The festival is based around a diverse selection of high quality films (motion pictures, documentaries and many short films. With over 100 titles from 30 countries in 80 sessions the festival offers a great overview of what’s happening in gay cinema all over the world. The Roze Filmdagen presents many premiers of the best recent gay productions; popular as well as small-scale alternative work. The program is as divers as our community, every taste will be catered to.

Advice for people with hiv traveling to the US
|
From the fourth of January the travel restrictions to the US have been lifted. This means that you can travel to the country without any problems from the 7th of January.
The Aids Fonds and the HIV Vereniging advise you to bring along a phone number just in case problems occur. Contact Immigration Equality via +1.212.714.2904. Or via email amorris@immigrationequality.org. They have said to offer assistance when necessary.

Information campaign condom use for boys

Young boys that have just come out of the closet as gay or bisexual often have unsafe sex. Information campaigns on hiv and condom use should be especially targeted to this group at risk. This is what psychologist Dirk Franssens advises. Over the past years he has conducted an internet based research on sexual behavior of young gay and bisexual boys who have experienced their coming-out less than a year ago.

More and more often I think of this song by the late Dutch singer Willie Alberti. A song in which he sings of the beauty of the city at night. That also reminds me of my own early days in the city. At the end of the eighties, the beginning of the nineties, when everything seemed possible. I understand that the older I get, the more often I think “been there, done that.”

Of course there were sex entrepreneurs who shot flicks with uninspired rentboys in dirty backrooms, but it wasn’t until Cazzo was created by Jörg Andreas and Jürgen Brüning in 1996 that another European porn business delivered comparable quality, even though Cazzo was aiming at a totally different segment of the market.

On the 5th of December the weekly Billy Underwear Party in Milan spotlighted Danny Verde as Special DJ. The poster was adorned by such a charming, handsome guy that we were interested who this Mr. Verde is. And so, meet... a musical prodigy who has worked in all aspects of music, including house, dance-pop production, DJ, song-writing and as vocalist. He lives just outside Milan in Northern Italy, where his recording studio “Holab Studio” has been home to many collaborations with international labels, artists, and producers.

Hopelezz 4 Night Mayor - Lezz We Can!

During a very busy evening on Monday the 23rd of November in Club Church, Jennifer Hopelezz launched her campaign to become the next Night Mayor of Amsterdam. She aims to be the first drag queen to obtain the highest office of the night. In the week preceding the launch she had already aired a video message on the internet announcing her plans.
