None of the remaining documents about the Stijkel group mention homosexuality, nor their personal lives. Schorer was extremely cautious and discreet in mentioning other homosexuals, as it was something one had better kept a secret. He does refer to other members of the Stijkel group who also were “like that,” but we can only guess. Again, we know nothing.

Survey on Suicide Prevention amongst Queer Youth

Researchers from the University of Groningen and Movisie are conducting a survey into the experiences of professionals and volunteers working with gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender youths suffering from suicidal thoughts. In addition to “hands-on” experts, the researchers also seek out professionals and volunteers who want to share their experiences in a group interview, which will take about one and a half to two hours.

Confectioner who Refused to bake a cake for gay couple wins at Supreme Court

A Christian baker from Colorado who refused to bake a cake for a gay couple based on religious grounds was consequently met with hostility by the Equal Opportunities Commission of Colorado. On these grounds the American Supreme Court rejected the gay couple’s charge and the baker was not prosecuted.
