The Finnish Olympic swimmer Ari-Pekka Liukkonen, 34, is the eighth athlete to come out of the closet this year. After defining what we mean in general with BDSM, she will focus on the Italian context. It is peculiar since, notwithstanding the presence of a quite developed BDSM scene, there is no academic work about this topic.
