Is There a Gap Between Pornographic and ‘Real’ Sex?

In an interview with Dutch newspaper “Het Parool,” Bram van Montfoord, the twenty-six-year-old author of “Een jaar offline” [Offline for a Year] states that at first, he thought it was “incomprehensible” that “he did not download any porn during those last days before January 1, 2012.” As the title of his recently published book indicates, the author lived without a computer and a mobile phone for a year. Later on in the interview, the charming student, who went online again on the first of January 2013 says: “Like a madman, I started listing to music on Spotify [...] and visiting porn sites. I wanted more, more, more!”

Advice to Regular Partners with Unequal HIV Status on Condoms

The Aids Fonds, the Hiv Vereniging Nederland, the Dutch Association of HIV-treating Physicians, and Soa Aids Nederland come with a univocal advice on condom usage for regular partners with an unequal HIV status. The general advice to use condoms remains in place. But when certain specific conditions are met, regular partners may choose to leave out condoms. Research shows that the risk of the partner with HIV transmitting the virus is (extremely) low when he or she is successfully treated with HIV inhibitors.

Before that time, an HIV/AIDS diagnoses meant a death sentence. In the early years, a lot of young people died of HIV-related illnesses. These were anxious times with some very disruptive problems. Expo News: Nude Men in Paris

The sales exhibition “Nus Masculins” can be seen until November 30 at the Parisian gallery Au Bonheur du Jour, rue Chabanais 11. It shows pictures from the period 1870-2013, and paintings and drawings from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. These works present the male body and male nudity in many different ways. The range of images varies from academic studies in which models are depicted for painters and sculptors to images of sportsmen that were popular at the end of the nineteenth century.
