Legendary Viennese Gay Bookstore Closed

Before specialized gay bookshops were founded in Amsterdam in the early eighties, one of the bookstores with an adequate assortment of gay books was the American Discount, at the time housed in Kalverstraat (now the American Book Center at Spui).
