Letter from Brussels - Fake Gay Marriages

Dear Northern Neighbors,

I mentioned it in previous columns already: the gay passport marriages. About gay Belgians - some truly desperate - who are getting married with some exotic person.

I don’t want to repeat myself but statistics and figures speak louder than words and the department of statistics of our Ministry of Economic Affairs is very good in keeping track of things, also marriages and stuff.

Portfolio - Black Meat White Heat

Blond Guys Lusting After Black Meat

For a long time it was considered not beneficial for the career of an upcoming All-American Porn Star to have sex with black men in front of the cameras. Therefore many porn actors concerned themselves with interracial productions only in the twilight of their career. As in the case of Jeff Palmer, who - as wanted he to show his middle finger to the major porn companies for blackballing him for his participation in bareback films - gets double-fucked by two black dicks in “Barebacking With Jeff Palmer, Volume 3: Gang Fucked.”

Pink Point - Caipirinhas

To The Point - True stories from Pink Point, the gay and lesbian info kiosk at the Homomonument. See http://www.pinkpoint.org

I’ve been raving about Pink Point’s ten-year anniversary for a while already, but last 24th of August was the actual celebration. The night preceding saw the opening of the already infamous Club Church so I was still a little dizzy when I arrived at the kiosk at 1.30 p.m. Why do I always say yes to everything, I wonder? Right then and there I decided I was going to practice my no’s... Yeah, right!

Book Review - Mates & Lovers

An Impressive History Of Male Love In New Zealand

Two years ago a “world history of homosexuality’ appeared in an international co-production. The Dutch version is called “Van Alle Tijden, in alle culturen” (Of all times, in all cultures). This may be so, but it is not said we know as much about the different times and the different cultures, not even if we stick to the Western ones. In Holland we have two historic works.

Style 2008-2009 - Paris

Research in forty-eight countries has shown that Gucci is the most popular luxury label in the world. Followed by Chanel, Calvin Klein and Louis Vuitton. If money wasn’t an issue, one out of five consumers worldwide would opt for Gucci as their preferred label. Funny enough 43% of the Dutch (the highest score) wouldn’t buy luxury products, even if they had the money for it, and only seven percent of all the men, regards themselves as a “big spender” when it comes to fashion.

1Minister Plasterk Criticizes Schools’ Gay Policy

Minister Plasterk of Education criticizes the way reformational schools treat gay teachers and pupils. The minister responds to a publicized vision of the Association of Reformed Education (VGS) which confirms practice that schools fire teachers who engage in a homosexual relationship. The VGS points out that the teacher’s behavior then would go against the founding principle of the school.

Violence against Gay group in Delft

During the night of Saturday the 30th of August the front door window as well as the shopwindow of DWH (Delft Workgroup Homosexuality) were smashed with bricks. Nobody was present at the time so luckily nobody got hurt. This is not an isolated incident unfortunately. Two weeks ago a couple of members were pummeled by softdrink cans thrown out of a passing car, and graffiti smeared onto the building along Lange Geer. Visitors of the centre are regularly verbally abused, and not long ago some people were even thrown into the nearby canal one night.

Expo News - Sailors, Legionnaires, Workmen

From September 17 until October 31 the Parisian gallery Au Bonheur du Jour has organized the exhibition “Marins, Légionnaires, Ouvriers” (Sailors, Legionnaires, Workmen), which shows drawings, paintings, photographs and curiosities about these icons of queer fantasy. Au Bonheur de Jour specializes in gay erotic art. The previous exposition, “Jeux d’Hommes,” was dedicated to gay pornographic photographs from the period 1895 to 1940, because also in those days there existed a market for pictures which left nothing to the imagination.
