How far can one go in the exploitation of a success formula? You only have to see the ongoing production of Bel Ami to know the answer. Very far! Let's take a look at the video (or, as they say in the 21st century, the DVD) productions of Bel Ami. Apart from the regular releases, they produce a lot of spin-offs. In the series Personal Trainers, which shows how the celebrated Bel Ami stars pass on their erotic knowledge to newcomers in the business, counts at least seven DVDs already.
In the "casting couch" series Boywatch I've seen four releases, and in Out at Last the same number. This last series contains scenes from earlier productions, which weren't used but are now presented as pornographic milestones. And there must be a market for all these spin-offs. Because I haven't even elaborated on the book and magazine exploitation, which is also overwhelming.
Almost all of the American male mags contain Bel Ami spreads regularly, that is, when they don't dedicate whole issues of their magazine to the Bel Ami puppies. And from Berlin we're flooded with books about these Eastern European guys. Over the past decade Bruno Gmünder Publishers have issued at least a dozen B.A. books. Sometimes these are dedicated to the whole stable, as Intimate Friends, Frisky Memories, Perfect Couples and Bel Ami's New Generation, others highlight a single star such as Johan Paulik, Lukas Ridgeston or Ion Davidov.
Recently we received the latest addition to this string of books, Frisky Summer. It's more of the same. So, Bel Ami fans will want to rush to the bookstores to add this full colour book to their collection. And others don't need to bother to check it out. This time the Bel Ami boys have assembled under the South African sun and they do the only thing they can do... horse around and play with each other.
As usual they're playfull, happy, giggly, and after the work has been done happily drowsy. They don't spank each other, they don't wear leather masks or cock rings, on the pictures they don't even fuck each other, it's all very straight vanilla. But if you cannot get enough of these young guys fooling around, you certainly don't wanna miss Summer Diary. |
