The Roze Regahs are celebrating their fifth anniversary. The Pink Regahs are the first gay supporters’ association of ADO Den Haag. Soccer and gays don’t mix? Nonsense! After five years, their members are a permanent presence in the Cars Jeans Stadium.

They are full partners in the conversation with management alongside the other supporters associations within ADO Den Haag. They have made the subject of homophobia and especially gay acceptance a subject for debate. For years now at the annual Open Day, they are present with their own stand. Their own section in the stadium? No, these gay supporters do not fancy that at all! They are all mixed in together, but if things get out of hand, they do correct each other. At home and abroad they are welcome guests and share their experiences at the UEFA and FIFA.

With over a hundred paying members, the Roze Règâhs are one of ADO Den Haag’s largest supporters associations. However, these “Hagenezen” – as residents of The Hague are called - want to spread their wings to other clubs, by giving support and advice, the do’s and don’ts. Plans for Rotterdam are well underway. But where are the gay fans of other associations? In Germany and England, each club has its own GLBT supporters’ association. Let’s bring about gay acceptance in the audience, and acceptance in the field will surely follow soon.

The Roze Règâhs will celebrate their fifth anniversary from September 5-9 alongside members of Queer Football Fanclubs (QFF). They will hold a pink film festival, a reception at the town hall and a conference in the stadium.
