COC’s Shakespeare Club 2018: Sharing Stories, Exploring Identity

by our Editors in Events & Agenda , 25 juli 2018

Dit artikel is ook in het Nederlands beschikbaar

The third edition of COC’s Shakespeare Club will take place in the courtyard of the Amsterdam Museum, Sint Luciensteeg 27, from July 28 to August 5.

This year’s theme is the exploration of identity within the very diverse GLBTI+ community. By sharing stories, it’s possible to make visible what distinguishes us from each other and what connects us.

During the nine days of COC’s Shakespeare Club, the Amsterdam Museum is again the relaxed hang-out between 14:00 and 23:00, where people meet up and connect and cultures and culture come together. In the Pride week, various GLBTI+ organizations and partners will present a diverse program around the theme “sharing stories, exploring identity.”

There are museum tours, presentations, network meetings, forums, panel discussions and workshops organized. Anyone, regardless of one’s background, is welcome to come and have a drink with friends, dance along or just “be.” Because of the very central location of the Amsterdam Museum in the city centre, COC’s Shakespeare Club is open to a diverse audience of Amsterdammers and (international) visitors.
